Dental implants come with a reputation for being expensive restorations. But you might be surprised to learn just how affordable they really are. For more information click here.Â
 What Are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a metal screw that’s placed into the jawbone where a tooth should be. This screw binds with the bone tissue and supports a false tooth called a dental crown.
The result is a restoration that looks, feels, and acts very much like a natural tooth.
Dental implants can anchor dentures and support bridges in addition to replacing individual teeth.
Implants are excellent restorations.
Now the question is: what do dental implants cost?
How Much Teeth Implants Cost
The cost of an implant varies by location in Australia. How much you’d pay also depends on how many implants you’ll receive and whether or not you’ll need any additional procedures.
For example, a single dental implant usually starts off at around $3,000. If you need a tooth extracted before placing the implant, however, then the estimated price can go up to nearly $6,000.
A dental implant procedure that replaces all of your teeth can cost you a cool $20,000 or more.
Keep in mind, too, that the quoted price for a dental implant doesn’t necessarily include the crown restoration. Crowns are added for their standard price of $1,000-2,000.
Three Reasons Dental Implants Cost Less Than You Think Implants could save you money over the years
Dental crowns and fillings are also costly restorations. They may be cheaper than implants but they’re also more likely to need to be redone. If you take good care of your implant, it could last you for many years. Discover more.Â
Other restorations wear out after just a few years.
Can you imagine having to redo a $2,000 dental crown three or four times over the course of your life?
You may end up saving more money and time by extracting a troublesome tooth and replacing it with an implant in a one-time process.
Implants are inexpensive to care for
Caring for certain dental restorations might cost more money than you realise. Take partial dentures, for example. They need to be scrubbed with a special brush and soaked in special solutions every day. Those denture cleaning items can add up to hundreds of dollars each year.
Dental implants can be kept quite healthy with a regular toothbrush and toothpaste and dental floss, the very same items you use on your other teeth. Our dental team will explain how to care for your implants during your consultation. Read more.Â

An impeccable timing to come across this. I’m planning to get dental implants but I can’t afford putting down the full amount at one time because I’m a single mother and I don’t have any credit so I was hoping that maybe some places would be willing to work with me. Upon seeing here that you can work out an arrangement it gave me quite a great relief.
Now I never have to put dental implants off for months to save up. Will certainly get in touch with you guys soon!
I couldn’t agree more with this post. Although I have to pay quite a costly out of pocket to get implants, still, I wouldn’t hesitate to go the implant route. I do think it’s more cost-effective in the long run and reading this write up just gave me all the more reason to never need to consider another option as it cited emphasis on implant materials and how its techniques have evolved to this point proving it to be more viable, though expensive, alternative to crowns, bridges and dentures.
Great share! I’m seriously thinking about this procedure though it’s a lot of money. Even with dental insurance, I’m still looking at over a thousand bucks out of pocket. Anyway, as long as I can still bite on chicken wings and natural corn, it wont surely put me off.
I was young when I started to lose my teeth and I’ve been dreading to have implants ever since not only because it’s surgical but also because its price is sky high. This post however makes a very good point. Considering the return for the investment from securing a healthy, functional, and beautiful smile it does seem to be worth every penny. Now my only regret is putting it off for a long time.
I’m seriously thinking about this procedure. But my chief argument against dental implants was really the cost. It so happened that I found this post at a very perfect time. I realised the chief argument favoring dental implants is their superiority to any other solution for tooth replacement. It makes sense because if you compare implants with bridges and dentures in terms of cost, comfort, and durability, implants always win in the last two criteria.
The title is really quite catchy. I mean, I was like “Dental implants are not expensive? How does that make sense?” But given all the factors right here, I just realized they’re truly not expensive; they are simply high cost for very valid and valuable reasons. Although, the fact remains that implants are one of the most profitable procedures that a dentist performs,
I can say it can be worth every penny of it.
